Two different 1989 productions circulate under the English label Peacock King 2. Nintendo’s contemporary filmography identifies George’s entry as the anime OVA Peacock King 2: Castle of Illusion (孔雀王2 幻影城), 1 a 1989 direct-to-video release adapted from Makoto Ogino’s manga and directed by Ichiro Itano, best known for the “Itano Circus” missile barrages in Macross. It is not the live-action Saga of the Phoenix directed by Nam Nai-choi.
Secondary credit lists describe George as a guest designer for one entity: the Cherubim (ケルビム), a central monster in the OVA, blending angelic, insectoid, and fleshy elements. A scan of the OVA’s original Japanese credit is still needed to turn that attribution into a primary-source claim.
