Shot in Mexico in 1987 under the original title Dimensiones ocultas (“Hidden Dimensions”) and released internationally as Don’t Panic, Rubén Galindo Jr.’s film was shot in English for the international video market. George is credited on screen as special effects designer. The credit doesn’t say who fabricated the pieces and who ran them on set.
The television gag shows a demonic, distorted face pushing forward through what looks like the glass itself, warping it like liquid skin. Nobody has written up how that membrane rig worked. The demon’s makeup and the claw-slash and throat-tear kills use visible prosthetic pieces, their materials unrecorded.
Before Vinegar Syndrome’s 2020 restoration put the film’s credits back in front of people, it circulated mostly as a low-visibility VHS-era curio.
