Two lists are all that survive of Collector (コレクター), both dated 1986. George’s own Japanese professional profile carries it with a “CM” prefix, the standard Japanese shorthand for a television commercial. Nintendo’s 1998 filmography of George, reproduced in full on this site, lists a “Collector” entry for the same year among his films, not his commercials, sitting directly next to Big Trouble in Little China. The two lists disagree and nothing here resolves it.
No matching commercial, film credit, press coverage, or behind-the-scenes material has surfaced in either English or Japanese. The title dates from the year George’s Los Angeles shop, S.M.G. Inc., was newly active, which the Nintendo profile puts at 1986. Until a copy or a contemporary listing turns up, it stays a title in a list.
