The direct-to-video third Children of the Corn film gives the franchise’s corn deity, He Who Walks Behind the Rows, a full creature body on screen. The creature is a massive, multi-eyed plant form with writhing root tentacles and wet, decaying surfaces. The public record does not yet support the exact materials or operating method sometimes attributed to the build.
The film also includes a neck-stretch gag and the Human Scarecrow, a skin-peeling mutant sculpted in clay by a young Hiroshi Katagiri — his Hollywood start had come on The Guyver — under George’s supervision. Special effects supervisor Tom Rainone coordinated the on-set mechanics.
