Dream Warriors did not have one effects shop. It had several working at once, loosely coordinated by mechanical effects coordinator Peter Chesney and makeup effects designer Kevin Yagher, each handed a different dream death to solve on its own schedule. George — credited under his birth name, Joji Tani — was hired as a freelance makeup artist working underneath that structure, alongside Greg Cannom and Matthew W. Mungle. He did not run a shop of his own here.
Yagher’s shop designed and built the Freddy Snake that swallows Kristen, a credit that sometimes drifts to George online but belongs to Yagher. Chesney’s own house, Image Engineering, built the television set that erupts arms and pushes Freddy’s face through the screen, with Mark Shostrom fabricating the flexible dummy of actress Penelope Sudrow for the shot. Doug Beswick Productions built and animated the stop-motion marionette rig for Philip’s death.
His makeup credit could put him on the Philip sequence. Beswick’s crew animated the puppet that makes Philip walk like a marionette, while the makeup department supplied the sliced-open veins that become its strings. No source names George as the artist who applied that gag, or puts him anywhere near the puppet mechanism.
